Medium Format Film
Towards the end of 2017 I found an old Agfa Isolette MkII folding camera manufactured sometime between 1950-60 that had once belonged to my father. Having primarily shot digital for nearly two decades, the discovery rekindled my interest in film and was the start of a journey experimenting with various medium format film stocks. The camera is fully manual: focus, shutter speed and aperture must all be set by hand and then the shutter release cocked before capturing a single shot. It's a slow process and with only twelve frames on a roll, each exposure taken has to be considered. It has it's quirks compared to modern cameras, but when everything comes together, some memorable results can be achieved and the process has deepened my understanding of photography...
